Yuuuuummy! Fresh toppings, great crust and a deal! We called in an order for a medium Mario’s special, bread and salad to go. Our order taker was pleasant. The pizza came loaded with quality ingredients. The cheesy garlic bread with marinara sauce was toasted to perfection and the marinara sauce was delicious. The garden salad had tomatoes, cucumbers and black olives. It was large enough for 2 people. Everything was wonderful! We were able to make 2 meals out of our order and still had bread leftover. In the Jamaica Beach area, I’ve now tried 2 pizza places. This one is by far the best for service, food quality and price. Highly recommend!
What I really don't understand is why open at 5pm and you're missing so much money around lunchtime. For the last month, my guys (20+) and I have been working on the island for centerpoint. We've been looking for a great lunch spot for pizza and have been forced to buy Hunts pizza, spending hundreds a day when we would have gladly spent it there. Definitely need to open around 12, you're probably missing out on thousands a day.
Early Father's Day lunch at Mario's was excellent. We are always treated Great and the food was Awesome.
Very disappointed in Mario's. This has been our pizza spot for our yearly trips to Galveston. I will never buy from them again. They typically have a longer wait which is usually fine because over the years its been pretty good. We ordered at 7:18, did not receive our food until 9:50 on a Tuesday. That is ridiculous. It was not even close to warm and the pizza quality completely unacceptable. Ended up feeding my kids a peanut butter sandwich and threw half of it away.
I do not recommend this place at all.
The pizza was very oily. That's unhealthy to put that much oil on a pizza. It tasted strange. The delivery driver was very rude and angry. He banged on my door like he was the police. I didn't even have an extra minute to get to the door before he banged even harder.
I was expecting 45 minutes to arrive. He was early by 25 minutes so I wasn't yet expecting him, then he took my receipts not giving me enough time to sign or give him a cash tip. He was so rude he didn't say goodbye he just grabbed the receipts then left dropping his pizza bag. A part of me didn't want to tell him, but I'm just not that type of person. I ordered delivery because I wasn't feeling well to go out too exhausted, and now I'm worried he's going to force my signature and give himself a tip. I hope that's not the case.
If you're a manager reading this please make sure the heavy built Caucasia man in maybe his 40s didn't want me to sign. He was so aggressive and angry, I just gave him the receipts, scared he was going to physically harm me. He kept saying, "I need the receipt now. Give me the receipt. I need the receipt." He said it repeatedly while I was holding the pizza and I was going to get the cash to for him, but the level aggression I decided to just give it to him. He's not meant to work customer service.
Almost gave it 4 stars because nobody picked up the phone after sitting on hold for two minutes, the online ordering system crashed on me twice and when I arrived to pick up my order the staff seemed confused about how to handle the online orders and forgot my two liter. BUT...
This may be the BEST pizza I have ever had! It’s so awesome I’m willing to give 5 stars because at the end of the day I wanted good pizza and this is GREAT pizza. Well done, just work on the customer service a bit. ;)
We ordered a large Pepperoni & half sausage pizza. It was ok. No real flavor. We also ordered the hot Buffalo wings which were a little sweet. Again, nothing great. We also ordered the meatballs appetizer and the meatballs didn’t taste fresh. $51 and some change later plus tip, we wish we had went elsewhere. Delivery was good.
This was our first time here and it was so good we had to go back the next day.
